CBA sponsored kit on tour!
The football kit that was bought by CBA Design & Marketing for Great Shelford FC's 'A' team is currently being put to good use in Africa.
The kit has been taken over to Ghana by Ben Thompson, a current Gt Shelford player, and Gareth Roberts, a former Gt Shelford player, to use during coaching sessions with Ghanaian youngsters.
The two players are currently on their 'gap year' and have chosen to use their time profitably by coaching football skills to under-priveleged youngsters in Ghana.
With over 37% of the 24 million population under the age of 14, there are many keen young footballers in the country. However, with a high incidence of disease and poverty, opportunities are limited. Thanks to Ben and Gareth's input – and the use of the CBA-sponsored kit – a player of the calibre of Chelsea's Ghanaian midfielder Michael Essien could be discovered!
