A smart site to attract smart entrepreneurs

When entrepreneurs seek investment for their fledgling enterprise, strategy is crucial. To complete a favourably structured deal in an acceptable timescale it is vital to know how and when to approach an investor. Getting this right means that large amounts of money and management time can be saved.
Venture capitalist, TTP Ventures, has incorporated useful tips and links in its new website (www.ttpventures.com) to help entrepreneurs approach VCs. The resources are designed to help in the preparation of proposals for submission to investors and include advice and links on writing business plans and approaching VCs.
Melbourn-based TTP Ventures is part of TTP Group, Europe’s leading independent technology development and licensing company. TTP Ventures provides venture capital for IT and clean technology companies based in the UK. The company’s strategy is to lead investment in technology-driven companies that seek to address markets with significant growth potential.
The brief for the new site was to produce a clean, understated design with a modular approach to organising content. One of the main criteria was that there should be a comprehensive content management system (CMS) so that all text, images and layout could be continually updated and refreshed.
Sergi Martorell from TTP Ventures explained, “We needed a clean, professional and attractive site that simply explained our investment criteria, process and clearly illustrated the things we like to see in early stage technology businesses. The site has been designed to engage the interest of entrepreneurs and offer them additional advice that could be beneficial in the preparation of their proposals.”
Having previously been commissioned to build the parent company’s website, CBA Design & Marketing were appointed to develop the new site for TTP Ventures. The site was built using CBA's unique CMS - Block Simple - and comprised of a deliberately minimalist design.
"We like companies with ambitious entrepreneurs, strong proprietary technology and good international growth potential," said Clennell Collingwood from TTP Ventures, "With our new site we hope to better show what TTP Ventures can offer to companies with these positive attributes."
